SNICKERDOODLE KNITS
Creativity, Clarity + Confidence in Knitting
Charity Work
Giving to, and taking care of, folks in need is something that's always been important to me, and I'm so thankful that I can also incorporate it into my work with Snickerdoodle Knits.
Whether it's donating money or knits, or helping knitters find charities accepting hand knit donations, I am grateful to be in a position to help.

Past Projects

Keep Western North Carolina Warm
Post-Hurricane Helene initiative to keep survivors warm in winter weather.
After Hurricane Helene hit my state and I saw the devastation locally, I created this initiative to collect hand knits to help North Carolinians stay warm in the winter weather.
Knitters across the country donated yarn, warm winter items, and "warm" letters of love. In total, we were able to donate the following to Homeward Bound Western North Carolina:
-
9 Blankets
-
28 Pairs of Gloves/Mittens
-
280 Hats + Ear Warmers
-
6 Kids Toys
-
85 Cowls, Scarves, + Shawls
-
9 Pairs of Wrist Warmers
-
26 Coats + Jackets
-
Long sleeve shirts, sweatpants, and more
In response they shared, "Items going out today. Your work and love is going to keep them warm and make their heart happy."
Leftover Product Inventory
Donated to Warm Up America
After transitioning Snickerdoodle Knits from selling hand knit products to selling solely knitting patterns, I donated the leftover product inventory to Warm Up America. This included:
-
34 hats
-
23 scarves
-
8 headbands
-
9 cup cozies + coasters

Hand Knit Toys
Donated to Ronald McDonald House
This was just a fun project where I knit some cute little toys and donated them to a local Ronald McDonald House for children to enjoy and play with.
