If you’ve ever found yourself juggling screenshots, browser tabs, saved Instagram posts, Ravelry favorites, and notes scattered across your phone… you’re not alone. As knitters, we gather inspiration everywhere. But keeping track of it all isn’t always simple.

That’s where GoSadi, a platform for knitters and crocheters, comes in.

I’ve been an alpha tester for GoSadi since the very beginning, watching it grow from a small designer-side tool into a beautifully supportive platform for knitters. And today, I want to share what it is, how it helps, and what it actually looks like in everyday life, so you can decide if it’s the right fit for your making.

This isn’t a sponsored post. It’s simply something I believe in, and I'm excited to watch as it continues to grow. I do have an affiliate link, however, that I will share throughout the post. With this link, you will receive 3 months free if you join by January 2026.

What Is GoSadi? (In Knitter-Friendly Terms)

GoSadi is a big-picture pattern hub that works alongside Ravelry (not instead of it).

Think of it as the place where all your patterns and projects can live together, even if you discover them from different corners of the internet.

With GoSadi, you can:

  • Search for patterns from anywhere — Ravelry, Etsy, designer websites, yarn companies, Google… all in one place.

  • Save patterns you love where it's simple to move them to your queue.

  • Track your projects with notes, photos, yarn details, and progress updates.

  • Sync your Ravelry projects into GoSadi, and sync updates back to Ravelry.

  • Follow your favorite designers so you never miss a new pattern.

  • Showcase your finished makes on the Makers Landing Page.

...and there is so much more coming in 2026 that I can't wait for!

What GoSadi doesn’t do and doesn't have plans to do:

You cannot purchase patterns inside GoSadi.

Instead, GoSadi gives you a direct link to the designer’s shop wherever the pattern is sold (Ravelry, Etsy, LoveCrafts, etc.).

This approach means knitters support designers directly, while still enjoying the convenience of one unified place to browse, save, and organize.

How GoSadi Helps Knitters (Especially Intentional Makers)

GoSadi wasn’t built to overwhelm you with options. It was built to help you make decisions with clarity and ease — something that aligns deeply with how I approach knitting and designing.

Here’s how it helps in practical, everyday ways:

1. It reduces decision fatigue.

Searching for your next project becomes calmer when all patterns, no matter the source, show up in one clean space. You don’t have to remember where you saw something, because everything can be saved on the same platform.

2. It brings your making into one home.

Your Ravelry notes, your favorite patterns from blogs, the Etsy patterns you’re thinking about, that one perfect design you saw on Instagram… they all become part of the same library.

It’s like creating your own personal pattern universe.

3. Your Ravelry projects stay in sync.

If you’re already using Ravelry, nothing changes.

You simply get an additional layer of organization, clarity, and ease.

Is GoSadi a Replacement for Ravelry?

This is the most common question I see.

No, GoSadi is not a replacement for Ravelry. And it doesn't intend to be.

Ravelry remains one of the most powerful tools in the fiber world, and GoSadi was intentionally built to work with it.

Think of it like this:

  • Ravelry is an incredible database and community space where you can purchase patterns.

  • GoSadi is the place where you curate, organize, and interact with what inspires you. (And in the future it will be building out more opportunities to connect makers with designers, and much more!)

If Ravelry is the library, GoSadi is your personal reading journal and bookshelves.

Is GoSadi Right for You? Here's How to Decide.

GoSadi may be a good fit for you right now if you…

  • Save patterns from many places and want them all organized together.

  • Prefer a quiet, intentional browsing experience.

  • Want a simple way to track your projects and notes.

  • Feel overwhelmed by scattered inspiration (screenshots, bookmarks, etc.).

  • Want a place to follow designers and see what they’re up to.

  • Value tools that help you knit more intentionally and with less frustration.

GoSadi might not be for you if you…

  • Only knit occasionally and don’t track projects.

  • Prefer using Ravelry exclusively and don’t want a secondary tool.

  • Don’t feel the need to organize or save ideas from multiple platforms.

And both answers are completely ok.

My goal isn’t to persuade you; it’s simply to help you understand the tool so you can choose what supports your making best. And I will continue to update this post as GoSadi releases more updates!

What GoSadi Looks Like in Everyday Life for a Knitter

Here’s a peek at how it might fit into your week:

Monday Morning Inspiration

You see a beautiful sweater on Instagram. Instead of screenshotting, you search it on GoSadi and add it to “Patterns I Love."

Wednesday Evening Project Planning

You want to plan your next knitting project.

You open your “Patterns I Love” to review your favorite patterns — including patterns from Ravelry, designer websites, and blogs --- and move your next project to your queue.

Saturday Afternoon Knitting

You open GoSadi to cast on your project. You create the project on GoSadi so you can add your project notes, yarn usage, and photos as you work.

The notes also sync to Ravelry automatically (if you want them to).

Sunday Reset

You browse designers you follow to see what’s new.

No pressure, just inspiration.

Over time, your account starts to feel like a curated collection of you — your style, your crafting rhythm, your creativity.

How I’ve Used GoSadi as an Alpha Tester

Because I’ve been part of GoSadi since designers were the only users, I’ve watched it grow with both intention and heart.

On the designer side, I’ve used it to:

  • Create listings

  • Manage pattern information

  • Publish patterns to Etsy

On the maker side, I use it to:

  • Organize pattern ideas

  • Follow designers I love

  • Save patterns from anywhere

  • Track my projects

Watching the makers platform unfold has been one of my favorite parts of this journey, because there is a lot of care and intention going into the platform to build an incredible platform for makers.

Final Thoughts: GoSadi as a Tool for Intentional Makers

If you’re craving a calmer, more aligned experience with your knitting — one where your ideas feel supported rather than scattered — GoSadi may be a beautiful fit.

It won’t replace Ravelry.

It won’t ask you to knit more.

It simply helps you knit with more clarity, confidence, and ease.

And truly… that’s something our making deserves.
