My Favorite Cable Knit Headband: Design Inspiration & Color Suggestions

Updated: Jan 11, 2021

My Favorite Cable Knit Headband is a pattern design that resulted from months of knitting cable headbands in multiple lengths, widths, and cable dimensions. I started by knitting cable headbands for myself and my sister, and when I opened my Etsy shop in October 2018, cable headbands were one of the first products I offered for sale. (If you're interested in purchasing a pre-made cable headband, just contact me to see what sizes and colors I have available!) I then compiled my favorite sizings into a pattern design that I named "My Favorite Cable Knit Headband." This pattern is available on Ravelry, Payhip, and LoveCrafts, and it is available for free on my blog (with the option of a free PDF download sent to your email).

The yarn that I recommend for this pattern is the same yarn that I knit all of my cable headbands in for my Etsy shop. It is Loops and Threads Charisma, which is an extremely soft and cozy 100% acrylic yarn that I purchase from my local Michael's (almost always on sale or with a coupon, so it's at least 40% off!). Loops and Threads Charisma comes in a large variety of colors, so I'll share some of my favorites here, and then I'll share some other yarn recommendations! Loops and Threads Charisma carries multiple color lines, including solids, tweeds, heathered, sorbet, and multi-color options.

Note: I am not affiliated with any of the yarns that I suggest; I am only providing a reference of suggestions for the knitters who wish to knit my pattern. All photos are from the websites I have linked in this post.
