My Favorite Knits for February: All the Heart Knitting Patterns

Of course, today (Valentine's Day) is the stereotypical day for all things hearts and love, but I'm a fan of both any time of the year!

Lovely Heart Dishcloth: simple lace heart dishcloth knitting pattern

cozy bulky weight diamond blanket knitting pattern knit in gray yarn lays over a couch pillow

Hearts: the symbol of love. I love hearts, and I love love! I’ve designed this simple heart dishcloth for your enjoyment, and in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Treat yourself or a friend with a special dishcloth! It's a fun gift knit or for decor in your own kitchen, and quick and simple way to learn how to knit lace. The pattern includes two sizes and is easy to customize in size.

The pattern is available for free via the Snickerdoodle Knits email list or for purchase on Ravelry, LoveCrafts, and the Snickerdoodle Knits website.

Love Yourself Shawl: pretty lace heart crescent shawl knitting pattern

It is very easy for many of us to fall into the depths of comparison-itis, anxiety, and depression. This is something that I can relate to on a very personal level and am learning how to overcome. One thing I have found very important on this journey has been to find a love for yourself, and that is what this shawl is all about.

To encourage you to foster your self-love, I have designed this shawl with an urgent message to do something special for yourself. That may be knitting a project for yourself, splurging on some fancy yarn (like this yarn that I used with 10% cashmere!), or adorning yourself in an elegant outfit with your favorite hand knit. Whatever self-care means to you, do it for yourself. Love yourself and show yourself that you care.

This pattern is written as a 1-skein shawl and as a 2-skein shawl. It is easy to customize, as the pattern is written as a repeat.

You can purchase the knitting pattern from Ravelry, LoveCrafts, and the Snickerdoodle Knits website.

With Love From the North Mittens: cute colorwork heart mittens knitting pattern

This is a fun, quick chunky knit creating a pair of cozy mittens with a heart on the palm of each hand using a simple colorwork design. The pattern includes six sizes, ranging from 2-4 years to large adult. It's designed for super bulky yarn in two contrasting colors.

The pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry, LoveCrafts, and the Snickerdoodle Knits website.

Hidden Love Mittens: cute textured heart mittens knitting pattern

This mitten pattern is a fun, simple knit with a heart on each mitten. Because the heart is located on the palm of the hand and is knit in the same yarn as the rest of the mitten, the heart is a hidden gem that’s sure to make you smile. The mittens are interchangeable, if you’d like to wear the heart on the outside of your hand instead. If you’re looking to make an extra-warm pair of mittens, I recommend using a wool-based yarn. You may also choose to sew a liner for the mittens using felt or fleece fabric. The pattern includes 8 sizes from 2-4 years to adult x-large.

The pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry, LoveCrafts, and the Snickerdoodle Knits website.
